The Eid Eve dinner party was a gathering of friends the night before Eid - the last day of the holy month of Ramadan. Food was prepared by myself and Sajdah Cannon, including a Moroccan tagine with lamb and prunes, a vegetarian tagine, hummus, rice, salad, homemade bread, grapes, and dates. Guests were asked to wear Hanan Sharifa pieces but were not required to. This experience was a trial run of a larger project “A Tender Happening” that is currently in the process of becoming actualized.
